Giving.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

At Hosea we believe that the Bible calls us to be cheerful givers, and bring our tithes and offerings as worship to God. We follow the principle of tithing, or giving a tenth of our income back to God as our first and best worship to him.

Giving is done with the understanding of God's great provision for us, acknowledging that we live in total dependence on Him for all that we have.

Offerings are given above and beyond the Biblical principle of the tithe and are brought as worship to God to further support His mission through the church.

How to Give:

  1. Pay with a check

    The best method is simply to write a check and give when the offering is taken after worship during our Sunday services, or by mailing it into the Hosea office. This way you can physically offer your tithe to God as worship each month.

  2. Online Bill-Pay

    If you find that you are regularly forgetting to write your tithe check each month, it can be a good option to use your bank’s online bill-pay system.

    Bill-pay allows your bank to mail a check directly to Hosea. To set up bill-pay you should select the “pay an individual” option or set up a new payee. Here is the information your bank might require to set up bill-pay to Hosea:

    1. Name (Payee Name): Hosea Church

    2. Address (Payee Address): P.O. Box 30182, Raleigh, NC 27622

    3. Phone Number: (919) 307-7692

    If there is space to write a note or message, you can simply put whether it’s a tithe or offering.

    If you need more help, contact your bank to help get set up.

  3. Online with Tithe.ly

    The last option is giving through Tithe.ly. This is a convenient way to give your tithe, but there is a small fee associated with the transaction. To be sure your full tithe is being given to the church, Tithe.ly has added a small check-box which allows the giver to cover the convenience fee.
